Exclamation mark (!)


          We use an exclamation mark at the end of an exclamatory word or a sentence that
          expresses an emotion.

          Read the following sentences.

            1.  What a pleasant surprise!

            2.  Alas! He could not qualify the interview.



          Comma (,)

          A comma is used for a short pause.


          Read the following sentences.
            1.  There are bananas, guavas, grapes, and oranges in the basket.

            2.  Neeta is intelligent, beautiful, sincere, and honest.



          Capital Letters

          Capital letters are used in the following ways.

                  At the beginning of every new sentence.
              O
                1.  She is a good dancer.

                  Proper nouns always begin with capital letters.
              O
                1.  Neha went to New Delhi to see the India Gate.

                  The pronoun I is always written in capital letter.
              O
                1.  Sanjay and I go for a walk every day.
