Negative Sentence


          To make negative sentences in past continuous tense, we use was not with singular
          subjects and were not with plural subjects.

          Read the given sentences.

            1.  Neelam was not going to school.

            2.  The children were not playing in the park.



          Interrogative Sentence

          To make interrogative sentences in past continuous tense, we begin the sentence

          with was/were.

          Read the given sentences.

            1.  Was Neelam going to school?

            2.  Were the children learning their lessons properly?
