Prepositions of Time
They tell us about the time when something happened. The words in, at, on, from…
to, for, by, during are prepositions of time.
Read the following sentences to understand the use of prepositions of time.
1. My friend is coming in December.
2. I get up early in the morning.
3. My father came here in 2010.
4. They play at 6 p.m.
5. I drink a glass of milk at night.
6. She eats her lunch at noon.
7. We do not go to school on Sundays.

Prepositions of Movement/Direction
They show the direction in which a noun or a pronoun is moving. The words
across, along, around, up, down, over, to, into, through, towards are prepositions
of movement.
