          In a group activity, the participants should act out a full-fledged scene from a play. As per
          the demand of the play, the number of students required in the group should be decided.
          Get the script ready with the help of the value points. All the participants should memorise
          the script. The emphasis should be on the delivery of dialogues. Each actor should get in
          tune with the character he/she plays and deliver the lines with full enthusiasm. This will
          make the portrayal of their character convincing. The play should be done on the stage.
          Use appropriate costumes, props, music, sound, and stage lighting.

          In The Gift of the Magi, Della is determined to give her husband Jim a Christmas gift. Della
          decides to sell her beautiful hair to buy a watch fob (a chain) for her husband’s beloved
          watch. When Jim comes home, he is saddened and surprised to see Della’s beautiful hair
          missing  because  he  had  also  bought  her  a  gift.  He  offers  her  his  gift:  bejewelled  combs
          that she no longer needs. Then Della offers her gift to Jim – the fob for Jim’s watch. He
          looks at her and admits that he has sold his watch to buy her the combs. The two realise
          that they have sacrificed their most prized possessions for each other.
