Measuring a Line Segment

We measure the line segment using ruler. Let us A B
measure the length of given line segment AB.

We follow these steps:

Step 1: Place the ruler straight along the line segment and make sure that point A is at
the zero (0) mark of the ruler.

Step 2: Now look at the A B

Drawing a Line Segment

ruler.

Step 2: Then mark another point Y against the 15 cm mark of the ruler.
