Example 3: Mark the following points on the graph paper.

(i) P(– 4, 3) (ii) Q(0, –5) (iii) R(– 3, 0) (iv) S(– 2, – 3)
Solution:

Example 4: Plot the following points and write the name of the figure so obtained. Find the coordinates of the
points at which line AN meets the x-axis.
S (–5, 3), P(–4, –4), A (3, –2), N(5, 2)
Solution: As shown in the graph given below the figure obtained is a quadrilateral SPAN.

Line AN meets the x-axis at point (4, 0)
