(5) Another source of concern is the ease with which opposition-sponsored “Bandhs”
are organised in our country. The entire socioeconomic movement is brought to a
grinding halt by the lack of public discipline. When a sadistic attitude to punishment
is taken, there is nothing that can save us if a larger disaster strikes in the future. The
solution to so many of today’s troubles is not in lofty rhetoric, but in the restoration
of public order. Discipline is the only path to reclaiming our rightful standing in the
international community.
