                              THE ALARMING DEATH RATE OF TIGERSALARMING DEATH RATE OF TIGERS
                (1)  With  94  tiger  deaths  in  2021,  an  alarm  has  been  raised  over  the  rise  in  numbers.
                     In the year 2020, 56 tiger deaths were recorded as per the data shared by National
                     Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

                (2)  For  this  reason,  certain  states  have  taken  steps  to  protect tigers  in  India.  According
                     to a news piece shared by Wildlife Protection Society of India (WPSI), an NGO that
                     works  to  combat  wildlife  trade  and  law  enforcement,  West  Bengal  will  release  14
                     tigers into Buxa National Park to tackle this problem.
