(5) Look at the graphical presentation below. The number of tigers killed in India in 2019
was 95, and the number remains the same this year as well. Despite a decrease from
recent years, the number of tiger deaths in India has increased significantly during
the last decade. In 2016, almost a 100 tigers were killed in the country.
(6) Such data should implore us to use our voice and our might to fight for these voiceless
beings. Take action like writing to your government and the governments of tiger-
producing countries, urging them to safeguard tigers. Penalties for killing tigers and
other protected species must be strictly enforced, and must be severe enough to
dissuade people from poaching tigers, as well as those who profit from such deaths.
