Key Values
When you understand that your level of worry is appropriate for that
particular situation, you can try to stop giving your undivided attention to
your worrisome thoughts and feelings. You can focus on what has to be
done. You do not have to take any action to get away from your anxiety. You
can take a deep breath and take on the difficulty. The anxiety will eventually
go away on its own.
Some people experience excessive levels of anxiety. It appears to be more
than they can handle. They spend too much time and energy on their worries
or fears. Some people may start avoiding situations or persons who make
them uneasy altogether. Inform your parents, the school counsellor, or your
doctor if you believe that you are feeling anxious or out of control. You will
begin to feel better as soon as you start receiving assistance.
