After a few days, his mother bought him the same toy that he had lost.
Aryan was very happy and thanked his mother. But his mother had an
important message for him.
“Aryan, it is alright to be disappointed after losing something that you
loved. These things happen. We all experience loss from time to time in
our life,” she remarked. “Even I get disappointed after losing something
precious to me like my favourite jewellery or a book that I loved reading
all the time. But do you know what I do? I appreciate the things that I
have and learn to be grateful for them,” she continued.
He was surprised to know that even his mother gets disappointed after
losing something that she likes.
She then told him that instead of crying over it for so long, he should
learn the act of being grateful. Losing something that you love or like
can be hard, but if we learn to appreciate and be grateful for everything
we do have, we can learn to deal with losses better.
