                                                     ACTIVITY 8.1





        OBJECTIVE
        To explain the computation of conditional probability of a given event A, when event B has already occurred,
        through an example of throwing a pair of dice.


        MATERIAL REQUIRED
         Y   Cardboard or plywood of convenient size            Y  pen/pencil

         Y  white chart paper                                   Y  scale
         Y  glue stick                                          Y  a pair of dice

        PRE-REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE
            1.  Knowledge of concept of probability and terms related to it (like: random experiment, sample space,
               event, equally likely events, etc.)
            2.  Knowledge of concept of conditional probability.


        PROCEDURE
            1.  Paste white chart paper on a piece of plywood or cardboard of convenient size.

            2.  Make a square and divide it into 36 unit squares of size 1 cm each (Fig. (a)).
            3.  Write pair of numbers as shown in the figure.
