TOPIC - 7: Binomial Theorem

ACTIVITY 7.1

OBJECTIVE
To construct a Pascal’s Triangle and to write binomial expansion for a given positive integral exponent.

MATERIAL REQUIRED
 Hardboard  Matchsticks
 White chart paper  Glue

PRE-REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE
1. Knowledge of Pascal’s triangle

2. Knowledge of binomial theorem and coefficient of binomial expansion

PROCEDURE
1. Take a hardboard of convenient size and paste a white chart paper on it.
2. Take some matchsticks and arrange them as shown in Fig. (a).
