Infrared
Infrared is wireless transmission media that sends signals using infrared light waves.
Infrared transmission requires line-of-sight transmission. Infrared technology is used in
remote controls for television and other electronic devices.

                                          Near Field Communication (NFC)
NFC is a short-range wireless connectivity technology.
This technology uses electromagnetic waves. It allows communication
between two compatible devices by bringing them within a few
centimetres of each other. NFC-enabled devices allow users to transfer
pictures, apps, and data files from one gadget to another.

Transmission media can be guided or unguided. Guided transmission media involves a clearly defined
physical channel for data transmission between the computers. All wired transmission media are examples
of guided media. Unguided media does not have a physical connection between the source and other
receiving computers. Thus, its purpose is to broadcast data in all directions. Radio signals and TV signals
are examples of unguided transmission media.

          Network Devices
Network devices are used to connect various devices in a network. Some network devices are:
          Network Interface Card (NIC)
A NIC is a device that allows a computer to connect to a network. It is usually
a part of the motherboard. It allows both wired and wireless connections
between computers to exchange information over the network.

                                Modem
A Modem converts digital signals from a computer into analog signals (modulation),
which can be carried over telephone lines or cables to another computer. The
modem at the receiving computer converts the analog signals into digital signals
(demodulation), which a computer can understand.

Modems can be internal or external. Most portable computers include a modem to connect to a network.

                                        Hub
Hub is a device that connects
multiple computers in a Node 2
network. A hub receives a data Node 1
                                        packet from a computer and
forwards it to all other connected computers. The destination Node 3 Hub Data from one node
computer accepts the data packet, while other computers is transmitted to all
          ignore it. other nodes.

                                                                            Node 4
