The hard disk was invented on September 13, 1956, by IBM team
led by Rey Johnson (considered as 'Father of the disk drive').
The first 1 GB capacity hard disk, the IBM 3380, was the size of a
                  refrigerator and weighed 250 kg.

 A computer has a memory where it stores data and instructions.

 The digits 1 and 0 are called Binary digits. Each binary digit is called a Bit.
 A Byte, group of 8 bits, is the basic unit of computer memory.

 Larger units of computer memory are Kilobyte (KB), Megabyte (MB),
Gigabyte (GB), Terabyte (TB), Petabyte (PB), Exabyte (EB), Zettabyte (ZB),
                  and Yottabyte (YB).

 Primary memory of computer is in the form of memory chips attached to
                  the motherboard.

 ROM is non-erasable, non-volatile memory that stores instructions related
                  to booting the computer system.
 RAM is volatile memory that stores data and instructions needed by the CPU

                  to perform various functions.
 Secondary memory devices store large amounts of data permanently.

 Common secondary storage devices are Hard disk, Solid-State disk, CD, DVD,
BD, Pen drive, and memory card.
 Tertiary memory devices store large amounts of data for backup and sharing

                  purposes.
