QR Code Scanner
A QR code is a type of 2D bar code. The code consists of black modules arranged
in a square pattern on a white background. The
information stored in a QR code can be text,
images, or links to web pages or websites. A QR
Code Scanner is a device that is used to scan QR
codes and convert the coded information to a
digital form. Many portable computing devices, such as smartphones and tablets,
contain apps that can also scan QR codes.
Specialised Output Devices
After processing the input, a computer provides the results through output devices.
Output devices take the data in binary form from the computer and convert it into
a form that a user can understand. Monitors, printers, and speakers are some
commonly used output devices.
Braille Embosser
A Braille Embosser is an output device that prints text
documents in Braille (a pattern of raised dots). A Braille
translation software translates the electronic text from
the computer into Braille, which is then embossed onto
paper. The text is read by moving the fingers over the
dots. It is used to print documents for the visually impaired.
Plotter
A Plotter is a specialised output device designed to produce high quality
graphics in a variety of colours. It is used to draw charts, diagrams, and other
line-based graphics. Plotters use ink pens or inkjets to create graphics on
paper or polyester film. The four main types of plotters are drum plotter,
flat-bed plotter, inkjet plotter, and cutting plotter.
