Stage

The Stage is the area where every project runs. You can watch animation and stories,
and play games on the Stage. The background of the Stage is called Backdrop. The
Stage is 480 pixels wide and 360 pixels tall. It is divided into x and y coordinates. The
middle of the Stage has x-coordinate 0 and y-coordinate 0.

          Go and Stop Buttons

The Go button is used to start the execution of a project. The Stop button is

               view and normal Stage view.

          Sprite

A Sprite is an object or character that performs actions in a Scratch project. By default,
every Scratch project starts with one sprite – the Cat.

          Sprites Info Pane

The Sprite Info pane is located below the Stage. It includes
the Sprites list, which displays the thumbnails of all sprites in

a project. It provides options to add new sprites to a project.

You can also view and edit information about a selected sprite.

          Backdrop Pane
The Backdrop pane, present to the right of the Sprites Info pane, displays the current

backdrop for the Stage. It also provides options to add new backdrops to the Stage.
