Tools Group

The Tools group contains different tools to help make beautiful

pictures. We can select a tool by clicking on it.

The common tools are:

¾ Pencil tool : This tool is used to make freehand drawing.

¾ Eraser tool : This tool is used to erase parts of a drawing.

¾ Fill with color tool : This tool is used to fill a closed shape with a
selected colour.

Colors Group
The Colors group contains the colours
palette which provides various colours

to fill in drawings.

A colour can be selected by clicking it in the palette.

• Color 1 option lets us select a colour for lines, brush strokes, and
shape outlines.

• Color 2 option lets us select a colour for shape fills.

Lab Activity 1
Experiential Learning
Let us draw and colour an apple using the various tools.

1. Click the Pencil tool.

2. Move the pointer on the Drawing area.

3. Click and drag to draw the outline of an apple.

4. Use the Eraser tool to erase any mistake that you make while drawing
the apple.

5. Click the Fill with color tool.

6. Click Color 1 and select red colour from the colours palette.

7. Click inside the drawing of the apple.
