STARTING PAINT
1. Click the Start button. 2
2. In the list of programs, under
Windows Accessories, click on Paint.
Paint starts and its window appears.

The main parts of Paint window are described below.
Quick Access Toolbar Title Bar
Ribbon
Drawing Area
Title Bar: It is present at the top of the window. It displays the name of the
drawing and the name of the program i.e., Paint.
Quick Access Toolbar: It includes buttons for commonly used commands
such as Save, Undo, and Redo.
Ribbon: The Ribbon is present below the Title bar. It provides various tools
to draw and colour pictures. It is divided in Tabs and Groups.
Drawing Area: The blank white area in the centre of the Paint window is
the Drawing Area. It looks like a drawing sheet.
