Canvas: The white area in the centre is the drawing Canvas. It is used to

draw pictures.

Selector: The right side of the screen is the Selector. It displays various
options for a selected tool.

Colors Palette: The Colors Palette is below the canvas. It is used to select

colours for a drawing.
Information Area: It displays the Tux penguin, which gives tips about a

selected tool or feature.

DRAWING IN TUX PAINT

You can create your own drawing or use one of the pre-designed drawings

in Tux Paint.

To open a new drawing:

1. Click the New tool in the Toolbox.

A list of drawings and backgrounds is displayed.

2. Click the down arrow or up arrow button to view all

the drawings.

3. Select the drawing or background you want to use.

4. Click the Open button.

The selected drawing is opened on the Canvas.
