3.  In the Options bar, do the following :

                  3.1  Choose a brush tip and set the options for Mode and strength.
                  3.2  Select Sample All Layers to sharpen using data from all visible layers. Deselect this option
                      to sharpen using data from active layer only.
                  3.3  Select  Protect  Detail  to  enhance  details.  Deselect  this  option  to  produce  exaggerated
                      sharpening effects.

              4.  Click and drag over an area of the image you want to sharpen.
            Smudge Tool

            The Smudge tool creates the same effect as you see when you drag a finger through wet paint.
            To use the Smudge Tool:
              1.  Open a saved image.
              2.  In the Tools panel, select the Smudge       tool.

              3.  In the Options bar, do the following :

                  3.1  Choose a brush tip and set the options for blending mode.
                  3.2  Select Finger Painting to smudge using the foreground colour at the beginning of each
                      stroke. If deselected, the Smudge tool uses the colour under the pointer at the beginning
                      of each stroke.
              4.  Click and drag over an area of the image you want to smudge.
