To insert a new slide using slide layouts:

                1.  In the Slides pane, select the slide after which you want to add the new slide.
                2.  On the Home tab, click the New Slide                 down arrow in the Slides group.

                    A gallery of slide layouts opens.

                3.  Select the desired layout.



            Duplicating Slides
            You can create a duplicate copy of an existing slide in a presentation.

            To create a duplicate copy of a slide:
                1.  In the Slides pane, select the slide you want to duplicate.

                2.  On the Home tab, click the New Slide                 down arrow in the Slides group.

                    A gallery of slide layouts opens.

                3.  Click the Duplicate Selected Slides option.
                    PowerPoint inserts a copy of the selected slide after the current slide.

            Rearranging Slides

            After adding slides to a presentation, you may want to rearrange their order to organise
            them better.
