Memory Card

It is also known as Multimedia Card. It is a storage device that is generally used in mobile
phones, digital cameras, tablets, etc. It can store data up to 256 GB.

SSD
SSD stands for Solid State Drive. It is a non volatile storage device to save persistent data. It
is faster than a hard disk as it contains no moving parts in it.

Software
A set of instructions or programs which governs the working of computer system and instruct the computer to
perform the desired operation on data, are called software. Without software, computer system is like a body
without soul. It means that without the appropriate software present in it, the machine cannot be used for doing
any type of work.

System Software
It controls the entire computer system including the hardware. The system software also controls and runs the
application software. There are many types of system software.
 Operating System (OS): It is the fi rst software that is loaded into the computer’s main memory. Windows
is the most commonly used operating system. Windows is a product developed by Microsoft. It has
many versions, such as Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11. Some other
examples of operating systems are Linux, MS DOS and Mac OS.

 Antivirus Software: Viruses are software created to destroy data and files on a computer. Antivirus
software detects and removes viruses from the computer system. Norton, McAfee and Quick Heal are
most popular antivirus software.
