                                                 Number Data

                                              The values do not display the preceding zero. If any value (e.g.,
                                              telephone numbers), preceded by 0, then the first letter ‘0’ is not
                                              displayed, when the data is value. To show the preceding ‘0’, the
                                              data type has to be specified as ‘Label’(Text).


            Entering Data in a Cell

            To enter data into a cell:
            Step 1:  Click the cell where you want to type information. Type the data. An insertion point (cursor) appears
                     in the cell as the data is typed. Data being typed appears in both the active cell and in the formula bar.

            Step 2:  Click the Enter key to end the entry and turn off the formula bar buttons. Similarly, to undo any entry
                     that has been made in the cell, use the Esc (Escape) key on the keyboard.

            Editing Cell Contents

            Editing means overwriting or modifying cell contents. Let us learn to edit the contents of a worksheet.
              v To overwrite the contents in a cell: Click the cell, type the new data and press the Enter key.






















              v To modify the contents of a cell: Click the cell and press F2 key, or click in the Formula bar.
                 The cursor will appear in the cell. Modify the contents and press the Enter key.
