Subject Integration: General Knowledge

Write a paragraph on the topic ‘Famous Monuments of India.’ Add borders and shading around it. The monuments
name should be an ordered list.

Adding Shading

Step 1: Select the part of text to shade under it.
Step 2: Click on the Format menu and select Paragraph option. The Paragraph dialog box will appear.
Step 3: Select the Area tab. Choose from Color, Gradient, Bitmap, Pattern and Hatch.

• Color: This tab includes a palette of solid colours.
• Gradient: This tab includes incremental blend of two different colours, or shades of the same colour.
• Bitmap: This tab includes photos and other images that are made up of dots of colour; the image
may be in several formats.
• Pattern: This tab includes repeated design where background colour and foreground colour can be
changed.

• Hatch: This tab consists of different combinations of horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines.
