              Conjunctions   1.  The teacher will read out a passage on the Astronauts of India. There are three





                       long sentences which the students have to carefully listen to and note down the
                       conjunctions used in them. The teacher will then check how many sentences each
                       student has done correctly.
                        (Refer to the `Listening and Speaking Text® given at the end of the book.)

                   2.  The teacher will divide the class into four groups. Each group will choose a
                       speaker. The teacher will ask them to discuss among themselves about the status
                       of space science in India. The teacher will give them single word cues such as
                       Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, ISRO, and prompt them to speak out whatever comes
                       to their mind in the course of the discussion.
