A gerund is a verb in its -ing (present participle) form that functions as a noun. It names an
activity and can be an object or a subject. Most action words can be used as gerunds. For
example:
Gardening is my hobby. (subject)

I love driving at night. (object of the verb love)

O We look forward to seeing you all soon. (object after the preposition to)
