          Let's Learn Adverbs


        An adverb tells us something more about a verb, i.e. it modifies a verb. It can also modify
        an adjective or another adverb.

        Read the following sentences.

               She runs quickly.

            (The word quickly is an adverb, and it tells us more about the verb runs.)

               These fruits are really fresh.

           (The word really is an adverb, and it tells us more about the adjective fresh.)

               The boy shouted very loudly.

            (The word loudly is an adverb, and it explains how an action was done. The word very
            is also an adverb, and it tells us more about the adverb loudly.)

        All the highlighted words describe actions, i.e. they add something to the verbs.


          Let’s Learn Kinds of Adverb

        Adverbs  are  of  different  kinds,  and  they indicate  the time,  manner,  place,  degree  or
        frequency of something.

        Adverbs of Manner

        Adverbs of manner show how an action takes place. It is mostly formed by adding -ly to
        an adjective.
