                   Activity Time

Work in pairs. Each of you will write any five proverbs containing articles. However, you
have to omit the articles while writing the proverbs. Now, exchange your notebooks

with each other and fill in the omitted articles. After both of you are done, get your
                  work checked by your teacher.

                  For example:

P Apple day keeps doctor away. (proverb without articles)

P An apple a day keeps the doctor away. (proverb with articles)

                   Listening & Speaking Time

The teacher will pick a variety of examples of article usage and prepare a list for a class
activity. He/She will then ask a student to put the right article before the five words

which he/she will give to him/her, by speaking it loudly, so that the whole class can hear
them. The teacher may repeat this activity with some more students in the class using
                  different words.
