                The words used to join two or more words or groups of words or sentences together

                are called conjunc� ons.


                And

                    The word and is used to join similar ideas.


                           Amit and Sameer are my friends. (two proper nouns)
                       
                           They are polite and honest. (two adjec� ves)
                       
                           Amit, Sameer and I sit together. (two nouns with a pronoun)
                       

                    The word and also joins two sentences.

                           She washed her clothes.                             She hung her clothes.
