        Many Indian writers have made significant contribution to literature and have received worldwide
        acclaim and honour for their literary talents.

        Read the descriptions and write the names of the literary stars. You may use the Help Box.

                Interpreter of Maladies in 2000.


             2   _____________________ received the Man Booker Prize in 2008 for
                The White Tiger.


             3   _____________________ received the Man Booker Prize in 1981 for
                Midnight’s Children. He was also awarded the James Tait Memorial
                Prize in 1981 and the Booker of Bookers in 2008.

                the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1992, the Padma Shri in 1999, and the

                1913 for Gitanjali. He also wrote India's national anthem.

                Booker Prize for The God of Small Things in 1997.
