             Read the given phrases and state the type of adjectives.

          Adjectives qualify Nouns (things, places and people) or pronouns.

          Points to Remember:

             1.   Where is the subject placed—after the verb or before its noun?
             2.   What type of adjective is it?

             3.   Is the form of an adjective changeable?

             4.   Are number and quantitative words—adjectives or determiners?

          Placement of an Adjective

          When an adjective describes a noun in an ordinary manner, it is placed before its noun.
                  hot tea                         chilly wind                       polite manner

          When an adjective describes a noun focussing attention on its adjective, the adjective is placed
          after the verb

             1.   The earthquake was very severe.
             2.   The morning was cool and pleasant.


          Adjectives and Determiners

          Determiners are words that were formerly included in adjectives. But now they make a different
          category.
