One day a donkey saw a wolf coming. He was much frightened. He at once thought of
a plan. Walking away slowly, he began to limp badly. The wolf came up and asked him
why he was so lame. The donkey said that he had a thorn in his hind foot and requested
him to pull it out.
The wolf, thinking he could in this way get donkey’s foot between his teeth, ran round
behind him. But as soon as he came near the donkey’s heels, the donkey kicked the wolf
in the mouth and ran away. How clever the donkey was!
