Mark of Exclamation (!)
It is used after exclamatory sentences, exclamatory phrases and interjections.
1. What a beautiful scenery!
2. Bravo! Well done!
3. May you live long!
Inverted Commas (“...”)
The inverted commas are used before and after the reported speech.
1. The servant says, “Tea is ready.”
2. Mohit said, “I am in class 5.”
Apostrophe (’)
The apostrophe is used to show possession.

Rajni’s mother, the cow’s tail, the girls’ school.
It is also used to mark the omission of a letter.

1. I’m sorry.
2. I can’t help you.
Uses of Capital Letters
The capital letters are used:
To begin a sentence.
O
1. She likes sweet grapes.
2. How do you go to school?
To begin each line of a poem.
O
One thing at a time,
And that done well,
Is the best of all rules,
