             Read the sentences and underline the gender words. Then write the gender
             words in their respective columns.

               1.  The lady standing near the chair is my mother. She is a teacher. That
                  gentleman is my father. He is a doctor.

               2.  I have a brother and a sister. He is dressed like a prince, and she is going as a

                  princess in a fancy dress party. I am going as a soldier.

          A noun that refers to a male is said to be of the masculine gender.

          A noun that refers to a female is said to be of the feminine gender.


          Read the following sentences.

          Rachit is a boy. He is playing with his father.

          Here,  Rachit,  boy,  and  father  refer  to  males. Therefore,  they  are  of  the  masculine

          gender.

          Tiger,  duke, bull,  husband,  grandfather, gentleman, etc.  are some nouns of the
          masculine gender.
