          1   Solve the following:

          2   From the sum of 4097 and 4723, subtract 1796.

          3   There were 1875 passengers travelling in a train. Out of these, 325 passengers

               got down and 826 passengers got in at a station. How many passengers are in
               the train now?

          4   A fruit seller had 1426 bananas. He bought 1056 more bananas from the market and
               sold 1563 bananas. How many bananas are left  with him?



        Estimating the Difference

        To quickly check the diff erence, we round off  the numbers and subtract them. It can give
        us a rough estimate whether our answer is correct or not.
