A C T I V I T Y T I M E

Objective: To reinforce the concept of symmetrical fi gures.
Materials Required: Coloured chart paper; (at least 2 chart papers per student), small

hand mirrors (one for two students) and a pair of scissors.
Procedure:

1. This activity will be done in pairs.
2. Fold the chart paper into half.

3. Draw a design on it as shown above.
4. Cut along the fi gure. Now, open the paper, and colour the symmetrical fi gure which

has been formed.
5. Keep the mirror on the picture, so that one half of the picture is covered.

6. Move the mirror so that the picture is half on the desk, and half is completed by the
mirror.
