ACTIVITY - 1
Aim
To measure the resistance and impedance of an inductor with or without iron core.
Apparatus and Materials Required
Inductor coil (diameter ≈ 2 cm, number of turns = 2000), soft iron core cylindrical rod of diameter ≈ 1.75 cm
and length equal to that of inductor, a battery eliminator, a resistance box (0 to 10 KΩ), a one-way key,
connecting wires, a step down transformer with tappings (0-2-4-6 V, 50 Hz), D.C. milliammeter (0–500 mA),
A.C. milliammeter (0–500 mA), D.C. voltmeter (0–5 V), and A.C. voltmeter (0–5 V).
