Without Regrouping

Let us multiply 3213 by 3.

Arrange the numbers as per their place values and follow these steps:
Step 1: Multiply 3 ones by 3. Step 2: Multiply 1 ten by 3.

3 ones × 3 = 9 ones 1 ten × 3 = 3 tens

Write 9 under ones column. Write 3 under tens column.
