        Symmetrical Shapes

        Take a triangle as shown and cut it along the dotted line.
        What do you observe?

        We observe that both the halves are similar to each other.

        Such shapes are called symmetrical shapes.

        You can find various objects in your surroundings which are symmetrical.
        The dotted line which divides the shape into two halves is known as its line of symmetry.
