G. Architecture Vs Maths
The municipal corporation of a city is planning to make a park in the city.
1. The park will have a water pond in the shape of the
rectangle. The side of the pond will be 8 metres and
width will be 5 metres. It will have a square shape pond
on the other side as shown in the picture. The one side
of this pond will be 2 metres. Find the total area of the
both ponds.

also needs to be made. To make it the floor of the pool
has to be tiled. If the cost of the tiling is ` 300 per metre
square, find the cost of tiling the swimming pool floor.
3. The park will also have a parking space. Each side of
