CONSTRUCTION OF A CIRCLE WHEN ITS RADIUS IS KNOWN Fact-o-meter
Let us construct a circle of radius 3 cm following these steps: Two or more circles

Step 1: Stretch the compass to measure of radius 3 cm. having same centre are
                                                                                    called concentric circle.
Step 2: Mark a point O as the centre of the circle.
                                                                                   Concentric circles have
Step 3: Place the pointed end of the compass at O. different radii.

Step 4: Swing the pencil end of the compass all around to obtain a circle.

        CONSTRUCTION OF WAVY WAVE
Before constructing any wavy wave, we have to draw this by free hand
        like the given aside.
        Here, PQR is called the central line. P 4 Q 4 R

If the length of the central line is not specified then we can take this to be
of any length. Here we assume PR = 8 cm.

Let us construct a wave of central length 8 cm by following the steps given below:
Step 1 : With A as the centre and a specific radius (i.e. 2 cm) draw a semi circle that intersects the line l at points

                 P and Q.

                                                        2 2

Step 2 : Again B as centre and specific radius (i.e. 2 cm), draw a lower half semi circle that intersects the line l at

                 points Q and R.

                                                         2 B R
                                                                   2
