Equivalent Decimals
Decimals that show the same amount are called equivalent decimals.

As can be seen, these two pictures show
the same amount, so 0.7 = 0.70
7 tenths = 70 hundredths.
7 = 70

Thus, 0.7 = 0.70 = 0.700 = 0.7000.
This shows that, writing zeros at the right-hand end of a decimal number does not change its
