Numbers Before, After and In Between

We have already learnt the concept of before, after and in between.

Let us revise the same.

Let us consider the numbers aside. 244 245 246

Here, 245 is in between 244 and 246.

246 is just after 245. 244 is just before 245.

Absorbing Facts

The number just after the given number is obtained by adding 1 to it.

Here, 245 + 1 = 246.
246 is called the successor of 245.

The number just before the given number is obtained by subtracting 1 from it.
Here, 245 – 1 = 244.

So, 244 is called the predecessor of 245.
