        Forming Numbers

        Look at the two numbers 27 and 72. They are made up of two digits 2 and 7.

        Are both the numbers same? No, they are not.


        27 = 2 tens and 7 ones                                    72 = 7 tens and 2 ones
        Here, 72 > 27


        So, according to the positions of digits in numbers, the numbers can be
        same or different.


        To form the largest number with any two digits, say 3 and 7, put the
        larger digit in the tens place. So, the largest number formed with the

        digits 3 and 7 is 73.

        To form the smallest number with the

        digits 3 and 7, put the smaller digit in                        T O
