        Place Value and Face Value

Let us take a number 64. It has two digits 6 and 4. The digits are in different
places in the number. So, they have different values.

The position of a digit in a number is called its place value.

                                                                                      Fact-o-meter

Face value of 6 in 64 is 6 and face value of 4 in 64 is 4.
