Happiness is not something that can be forced upon someone, nor is it definite. It could mean different
things to different people. Having a good circle of friends, spending time with family, or scoring well
in exams may all be source of happiness. However, rather than focusing on one aspect of your life,
committing to your overall wellness may result in long term happiness, so do these things more often
and stay happy!
1
Expand
your social
circle (but take pleasure
in being alone too): Having
friends or being a part of a
community is important. Visit your
friends on a regular basis, spend time
with your family, and make social
plans on occasion. However, if you
feel at peace being alone, do that
too. Sometimes, you need to give
yourself some ‘me time’ and
enjoy that as well.
2
Consume-
nutritious food:
Eating nutrient-dense
foods improve brain
functions. Fatty fish, dark
chocolate, green veggies,
and hydrating fruits are
3 all foods that can help
boost your mood.
Smile more (and
mean it): A smile can
brighten anyone’s day.
Scientifically, smiling is also
associated with the release of
a ‘feel good’ hormone called
dopamine, which is said to
make you happier and
also helps you cope
with stress.
