Holy Places
India is well-known for being a secular country and is home to not just one or two religions but many
which coexist in peace and harmony.

1 Located in Bihar, it is a sacred site for Buddhists. It has the Bodhi Tree and
the famous Mahabodhi Temple, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

creeds. It has the dargah of a famous Sufi saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

3 Located in Tamil Nadu, it is sacred to Hindus. According to a legend,
it was from here that Lord Rama built a bridge across the sea to Lanka.

4 Located in Andhra Pradesh, it is famous for the Tirumala Venkateswara
Temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. The temple is one of the most
visited places of worship in the world.

Sri Keshgarh Sahib Gurudwara. Lakhs of devotees gather here every year
to celebrate Hola Mohalla.

6 Located in East Odisha, near the sacred city of Puri. It was built in 13th
century by King Narasimhadeva I. It is dedicated to the God of Sun.
