2. The Principal has forgiven me. 6. Anita washes clothes.
I have been forgiven by the Principal. Clothes are washed by Anita.
3. They do not sell good books. 7. Prateek is writing a novel.
Good books are not sold by them. A novel is being written by Prateek.
4. Is he looking for a job? 8. The man is calling you.
Is a job being looked for by him? You are being called by the man.
V. Change the following sentences into passive voice.
1. A car ran over my doll. 5. They expected good news.
My doll was run over by a car. Good news was expected by them.
2. The fire had destroyed many huts. 6. Mother bought three bags.
Many huts had been destroyed by the fire. Three bags were bought by mother.
3. He did not paint this picture. 7. Neha was speaking the truth.
This picture was not painted by him. The truth was being spoken by Neha.
4. Did you not notice the warning sign? 8. I was bringing fruits.
Was the warning sign not noticed by you? Fruits were being brought by me.
VI. Change the following sentences into passive voice.
1. We shall serve our country.
Our country shall be served by us.
2. Should I lift this bag?
Should this bag be lifted by me?
3. They will not pay the fine.
The fine will not be paid by them.
4. He will buy the toy later.
The toy will be bought by him later.
5. They will ask you a question.
You will be asked a question by them.
6. Shelly will have learnt the slogan by tomorrow.
The slogan will have been learnt by Shelly by tomorrow.
