Let’s Understand

Consider this example: You are having a rough

morning. You forgot doing your homework and
the teacher punished you for it. You also forgot

to bring your lunch to school today. Everything

is already going wrong, and then your friend
            mistakenly broke your favourite pencil.

You are not in your best mood.

When you reach home, your younger brother

wants to play with you. Instead of playing

with him, you end up getting angry and shout
at him. Your brother is confused and does not

know what to do. Do you think your behaviour

            here is justified or not?

The important thing is to realise the emotions you are going through and

own them. Accept it if you are angry, instead of taking it out on someone
who is not responsible for your anger. Or accept it if you are feeling jealous

of someone, instead of talking behind that person’s back without his/her

knowledge. Admitting your emotions helps you realise how you must treat
those around you or give others the opportunity to behave the correct

way with you. When you do not own your emotions, your mind starts to

get confused about the way you must treat others. You feel mentally
overwhelmed, and this chaos can lead you to ruin your relationships.
